The details are pretty simple--make a card of any theme you choose utilizing the card sketch posted on my blog and then on the sketch challenge announcement post, reply with a comment posting a link to your blog or online gallery so that everyone can view how you utilized the sketch. You have all month to complete each challenge. So there is no confusion, a "month" runs from the first day of the month through the last day of the month--example Sept. 1st-Sept. 30th.
Bonus Opportunity for Participating in Sketch Wednesday Challenges:
Each month, I will assign a number in order from all of the comments/links posted from all qualifying participant weekly sketch challenge cards and draw one lucky winner for a package of blog candy from me! All of the blog candy goodies that I will offer will be craft/card making related--embellishments, ink pads, images, stamps, ribbon, punches etc.
Here's today's sketch and my challenge card.
My cardstock base was made from light orange cardstock. This finished card size measures 6 1/4" x 5." Then, I cut golden yellow cardstock to fit on top of the card base so that it was slightly smaller than it, to allow an orange border to show once it was adhered to the base.
I created the look of patterned paper using 2 leaf images by DRS Designs, the Small Silhouette Leaf and the Tiny Fall Leaf with different colored inks. To take the whiteness out of the cardstock, I sponged the empty spaces with orange ink. I also used chalk to color in each of the tiny Fall leaves to add more color to my handmade pattern paper. Next, I cut the leaf paper down to the size I wanted and then matted it with dark brown cardstock. This was adhered to the golden yellow cardstock as shown in the sketch.
I then adhered my matted image to the left upper portion of the golden yellow cardstock and added a sheer orange bow to the bottom of it. I also used the same ribbon to form the vertical bar on the right hand side of the sketch, and adhered it to the underside of the golden yellow cardstock.
As a final touch, I heat embossed the sentiment, "Autumn Greetings" with copper embossing powder in the upper left corner of my card front. The card front was then adhered to the orange base.
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan, Yellow Ochre, Tangerine, Lime Pastel, and Warm Red

So did you play with this sketch? If so please leave me a link to this blog post so we can all check it out. Don't forget, you can't have a chance to win the blog candy if you don't play.
