House Mouse Sketch Wednesday!

How was your St. Patrick's Day? Fun, enjoyable, and full of all good Irish things?

I didn't go out & celebrate...some of us have to work and bring home the GREEN, you know?

I created this Card Sketch and a House Mouse St. Patty's Day card instead!

There's nothing like a cute & cuddly House Mouse card! I just love these little critters and I know so many of you do too!

I've actually had him colored for what seems like forever, and I made it a point yesterday to create him into a card so I could show him off for St. Patty's week. The card itself was pretty easy to create, especially since I had the sketch to follow. I won't bore you will all the fine details, but if you have any questions feel free to ask! To sum it up...color, blend, mat, add brads, create tag, find coordinating designer paper, use Martha's Border punch, create cardstock base, layer as shown, Viola!

Stamps: Stampabilities House Mouse, DRS Designs sentiment "Happy St. Patrick's Day!"
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink in Warm Green and French Blue
Paper: Smooth cardstock by Office Depot, Textured Cardstock by American Crafts, Designer Paper by Reminiscence
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Nesties, Ribbon by Paper Studio Ribbon Trends, Martha Stewart Zig Zag Border Punch, Brads by All My Memories, sponges
Finished Card Size: 6" x 4.5"

Need a challenge? Go ahead & create with this sketch! Just make sure to leave me a link so I can see your project too!

Did you do any St. Patty's Day celebrating yesterday? Tell me all about it. I'd love to hear how you celebrated!

Well, gotta run for now, Happy Wednesday to you & Happy "Friday" to me--I'm off tomorrow! Whoooo Hoooo!

Have a great one!

Jennifer

Be My Valentine!

Can you believe it is the end of January already!?!?! Why does time seem to go by so quickly now that I'm an adult? I would give anything to make things slow down, just a little. You know the saying "Time flies when your having fun!" I guess I'm just always having fun! Well, it will be Valentine's Day before we know it, and it seems like forever since I've created anything with my House Mouse Stamps. I've missed all those little Cuties and it felt good to get back to creating with them. I've created a special valentine with this one, using last week's Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge (SC212).

I made good use of a lot of supplies on this one:

my Cuttlebug and Heart Embossing Folder

Ribbon,

Fiskars threading Water Punch,

Conversation Heart Brads, that I received in a swap a long time ago,

and of course I had to incorporate a DRS Designs image, to create the word love from one of their latest releases!

Oh, and of course I layered my little House Mouse using my Nesties! (How could I forget!?!?)

Stamps: Stampabilities House Mouse, Love from Silhoutte Love Heart by DRS Designs
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by The Paper Company and American Crafts
Accessories: Conversation Heart Brads-unknown, Ribbon by S.E.I, Cuttlebug and Heart Blocks Embossing Folder, Fiskars Treading Water Punch
Finished Card Size: 4 7/8" x 6"

*******Remember my question to all of you last week regarding the trouble I was having trying to get my blog pictures "clickable" so you could see the details better? Well, I figured it out and I'm so excited about what I've learned! I found this blog, Dummies' Guide To Blogger, and did a little research & found out why it wasn't working for me. If you are having the same issues, read this post to find out how to change it. I'm sure you will find many other aspects of this blog helpful. I know I did, and I still have a lot of posts to catch up on.

Happy Tuesday To You and Happy Day off To me--I hope to spend it shopping at Achiever's, Joann's, and Target for a few goodies, then to use my new goodies crafting the night away!

Jennifer

Fun Filled Friday House Mouse Holiday!

This week I challenged Kimmy to create a card using a House Mouse image, since it's been a long time since we've played with them! You can see my Fun Filled Friday Announcement post here.

I colored with image with pencils and blended the colors with Gamsol. I matted the image with red, craft, and green cardstock as shown. I mounted the Holly pattern paper with green cardstock and added 1 large green brad and 2 small red brads to the upper center as shown. Next I adhered this layer to my red cardstock base, and mounted the matted image to it with foam tape for added dimension.

Stamps: House Mouse by Stampabilities
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by The Paper Company, pattern paper by DCWV
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Brads by Recollections and Joann's Scrap Essentials, 3D-Dots, SU! Notched Corner punch, Red Satin Ribbon by Offray
Finished Card Size: 6.25" x 5.5"

Did you see Kimmy's Warm and Cozy House Mouse card?

So, how many of you braved the crowds and went shopping today? I stayed home, slept in, and enjoyed my morning. Did you get any really, really good deals? Leave me a comment & let me know what I missed out on. I'd love to hear from you!

Hope you all had a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

House Mouse Challenge!

For those of you who may be new to my blog, Kimmy, one of my best friends, and I host card making challenges on our blogs every week called Fun Filled Fridays (FFF). We take turns every other week giving a challenge. These challenges are announced every Sunday, and we display our finished cards for that challenge the following Friday. Kimmy and I keep the details to ourselves regarding these challenge cards, so until her challenge post Friday, I have no idea what she is planning on making until I see it, just like the rest of you, and vice versa. I think it is so much fun to see how different or similar our cards turn out.

Since today is Sunday, it's time to announce this weeks challenge...

It's been a while since I've used my House Mouse stamps, so this week we're going to dig them out!
I'm Challenging Kimmy to create a card using those adorable House Mouse stamps for this week's Fun Filled Friday Challenge!

If you have some House Mouse stamps we'd love for you to join us in this challenge! Make sure to post a link to your finished card so we can check it out!

Which House Mouse stamp is your Favorite?

I think the one I used on this card is my Favorite, but this image won't be the one I use for this weeks challenge. :-)

You'll have to wait till Friday to see it!

Stay tuned to my blog all this week as I have all kinds of new cards to show you!

Until Next time...

Smiles,
Jennifer
