Birthday Boy!
Today I'm showing off the Best Present Ever Cutie Pie Kid stamp (K650) from DRS Designs.
This Cutie Pie Kid was colored with Copic Markers. As you can see, I also used 2 other sentiments by DRS Designs--the Birthday Boy Greeting (E590) and a tag was created using the A Gift For You Greeting (B514). I embossed the background panel with the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. Some yellow brads, and hand drawn red dots on the corners of the image made this card complete!
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!

Cute and Girly!
Cute and Girly
is what it's all about! To me, that means lots of pinks and reds, fun ribbon, rhinestones and of course a cute and girlie image!
What could be more cute and girlie than this adorable Happy Hat Girl (H646) from DRS Designs' Cutie Pie Collection? I colored her with Copic Markers. I also created my own pattern paper by stamping the Diaper Pin (A354) image repeatedly with red ink.

Diorama Card Challenge
Please excuse my short explanation post for today. I whipped up this challenge card earlier last week, but with my Sister-in-laws wedding this past Saturday and all of the family festivities that have gone on with it, I haven't had much time to get it posted. So, without further adieu, here's my Diorama Challenge card! I made this as a representation of the heat wave & humidity blast we're experiencing right now.
I used Prismacolor Pencils/Gamsol, and Bic Markers to color in all of the images. Unlike how the the SCS Tutorial used Marvy Punches, I used my Circle Nesties to create the openings on the middle & outer layers. I sponged ink around my scalloped Nestie die to create the look of clouds in the sky on the card front--they're a little hard to see, but look perfect IRL with that sun image!
Here are some more pictures of my challenge card from different angles so you can see each layer. This was my first time creating this type of card & I was shocked to see it all come together so easily and quickly!

Stamps: DRS Designs- Beach Baby Cutie Pie (F1094), Beach Boy Cutie Pie (F1096), Bitsy Bee (A1020), 3 Flowers with Buterfly (H1068), 4 in 1 Beach Background (D1099), Fun in the Sun Sentiment (D1072)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink French Blue
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by The Paper Company
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Bic Markers, Nesties
Finished Card Size: 4.5" x 4.5"
Of course if you have any questions about how I created my Diorama card, please feel free to ask!
Don't forget to run over to the DRS Designs blog to see the Diorama cards created by the rest of the DRS DT!

Super Hero Beach Boy!

He's one of the newest Cutie Pie Kids released by DRS Designs, just in time for Summer fun! I colored him with Prisma color Pencils and blended the colors with Gamsol. I also used the sun from the new 4 in 1 Beach Background stamp in the background & the new "Fun in the Sun" sentiment to decorate my card front.

For a fun effect, I added Diamond Glaze to the puddle at his feet, on his goggles and to all of the water droplets around him.

This Cutie Pie Kid would make a great Pool Party invitation or he'd also be perfect for a Summer Birthday Party invite, don't you agree?
Stamps: DRS Designs- Beach Boy (F1096), Fun in the Sun Sentiment (D1072), 4 in 1 Beach Bacground (D1099)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink, SU!
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by The Paper Company, American Crafts
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Copic Marker C1, SU! Photo Corner Punch, Spiral Clip By The Paper Studio, Ribbon By Peebles Inc, Diamond Glaze

Cutie Pie Kids Beach Baby!
Are you enjoying all of the new images the DRS Designs DT has been showing off this week? Do you have a list of "must haves" started? The Sneak Peeks are still going strong this week as the DRS Designs DT is previewing all of the new designs that will be released this Saturday!
For all of you in love with the Cutie Pie Kids, here's another one to add to your stamp collection! This Beach Baby is ready for a day at the beach or a swim in the pool!
For this card I created my own pattern paper by stamping the sun image from the new 4 in 1 beach background stamp on yellow cardstock. For the other half of the card I used a wave border punch along the top border of light blue cardstock and then ran it through my Cuttlebug. I covered the seam with some fun blue toned ribbon, added some blue brads to match and adhered it to a blue cardstock base.
Well, there's not too much to this bare belly Cutie--She was simply colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, layered with cardstock cut with Nesties, and then matted on my cardstock base as described above. I did add Diamond Glaze to all of the water droplets around her and on the puddle she was standing in. Too bad that stuff can be hard to photograph sometimes, I *heart* the look!
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink, SU!
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by The Paper Company, American Crafts
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Nesties, Cuttlebug and Divine Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Brads by making Memories, Ribbon By Maya Road, Fiskars Boundary Waters Border Punch, Diamond Glaze
Finished Card Size: 4.5" x 4.5"

For Someone Special Sneak Peek
I'd love to see your take on this sketch. If you get a chance to play, please leave me a link so I can check it out.
Here's my take of this sketch using another one of DRS Designs cute, Cutie Pie Kids image called Sweet Offering. The sentiment, "For Someone Special" is a new stamp being released this Saturday April 4th.

I colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and blended the colors with Gamsol. I used my Nesties to cut the cardstock to mat him, and my Martha Stewart Zig Zag punch and ribbon to create the horizontal panel. I also sponged light red ink around him while he was still in my Nestie die, but it is difficult to see in this picture.
Stamps: DRS Designs- Cutie Pie Kids Collection-Sweet Offering, For Someone Special Sentiment (available by DRS Designs on 4/4/09)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink in Lipstick Red
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by American Crafts
