As I was typing up yesterday's post, a light bulb went off and I came up with another idea for the owl image from Sunflowers and Dragonflies.
Here it is as promised! What do you think?
I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and blended the colors with Gamsol. Then I created a Post-It Note mask for the owl and a circle for the moon and sponged the background in blue & black inks. I also put my Cricut to use & cut out leaves and glued them on the branch that the owl is sitting on.
I colored his eyes with a yellow Bic Marker to give bolder look to his eye. Does he look spooky to you?

Well, it is Sunday, so for this week's Fun Filled Friday Challenge, Kimmy has challenged us to create a card with 4 layers. This should be too difficult for me since I usually over-layer my cards. You'll have to wait until Friday to see what I come up with!
I guess that's it for now. I'm getting off this computer & I'm going to go enjoy the rest of my weekend!
Hope you do too! Thanks for stopping by today!
Smiles,
Jennifer

The moon background is perfect for this owl image! I agree that the yellow eyes are a wee bit spooky, but owls are a little spooky -- majestic, but spooky, too.
WOW Jen!! What a really cool looking moon!! Love the shadow around it and your coloring on this image is beautiful!! TFS! ;)
OMG is this a cool card or what. I LOVE what you did with the bg and the moon. Yah, even the spookiness.
