Here's another chance to win FREE stamps from DRS Designs!
I used only the upper portion of the Wintertime Buddies stamp. I masked it and then clear embossed the Interlocking Snowflakes Background (H015) to make it look like it was snowing around them. Sponging blue ink on top of the snowflakes made them appear white. I also used the Star Ribbon Slides (D963) as embellishments.
A bit of Icicle Stickles made this snowman come to life!
Make sure to check out all of the details over at the Card Patterns blog and link up your take on the sketch to be entered to win a $10 voucher to DRS Designs!

The Santa and Snowman were colored with Copic Markers and I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distressing ink. I stamped the Music Background on off-white cardstock, distressed the edges, and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist, before crumpling it up in a ball to create the vintage look. I love this background stamp and I promise you'll see more of it from me! I think it makes an very elegant looking Holiday card. The hollies were colored, cut out and adhered in the corners of my focal image.
Here's a close up of those Wintertime Buddies. Adorable, huh?
Make sure to run over to DRS Designs and check out all 12 of the new designs added to their Christmas and Holiday collection. I promise you won't be disappointed!

A friend of my Aunt Tracy recenty lost her Grandfather. They had a special relationship, and she wanted to give her friend a card that was extra special. Knowing that I make handmade cards all the time, she asked me to create a sympathy card for her.
I used the Splitcoast Sketch challenge SC293 from a few weeks ago for my layout. I loved how this card turned out and Aunt Tracy loved it too!
The Lilly Sympathy Cross (L314) and Heartfelt Condolences sentiment (D321) I used are by DRS Designs. The cross was colored with Copic Markers. I then masked it and sponged yellow ink around it. I stamped the cross a second time, coloing only the lillies, and then cut them out to add some dimension by adhereing it with pop dots. I used an EK Success Border punch and added pearls to the holes at each dip in the border. The yellow background panel was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and a simple blue bow made this card complete. I'm really happy with how elegant it looks!
Hubby doesn't usually say much about my cards when I make them. I always show him and I usually get "That's nice Honey" and he barely turns his head to look at my cards. This card however, the layered flowers really grabbed his attention and this time I got a sincere "Wow, that is a really nice card! I like how the flowers are popped up!" Maybe one day he'll really enjoy me showing my cards to him! (I can hope right!?!?!)

...not even a mouse!
Thanks to all of you who participated in the DRS Designs Blog Hop. I hope you enjoyed all the sneak peeks and that you're liking the new releases as much as I am!
I created my own background paper by stamping the Holly Background repeatedly. To spice it up a bit, I added Christmas Red Stickles to all of the Holly Berries. The holly embellishment was created by stamping the Joyful Christmas Mouse stamp a second time and cutting out the holly image from the letter "O." For the sentiment panel I used the One Line Merry Christmas (B364). Doesn't that big red bow scream Christmas?!? Now's a good time to get started on those Christmas cards! (*Note to self!) LOL!
Don't forget to check out the new releases for yourself! They are now available for purchase HERE.
Thanks for visiting!

This card shows off 2 of the new stamps, the Christmas Bells stamp and the Music Background. I went for a vintage look by distressing the edges around the bells and the music. I also used the Tiny Merry Christmas sentiment (A121) for the tag.
The entire card was also sprayed with a gold glimmer mist to give it a subtle shine, which you can see around the bells in this close up.
Your next scavenger hunt clue is:
• No Buddies around here
• Ovals are square
• It's Music to your Ears
Thanks for hopping along with us!
Hope you enjoy it!

It's Preview time! DRS Designs is getting for their next stamp release. This release is everything Christmas and you'll love them! As soon as they become available for purchase you can see them HERE.
Here's a card I made using the new 'Claus'trophobic saying.
The white frame around the sentiment was created by sponging red ink around the saying while it was still in the Nestie Die. I created the background using the Santa Hat (B022). I colored them with Copic Markers and used Icicle Stickles on the hat brim and cotton ball. The sentiment I used is the one line Merry Christmas (B364).
Well, just a little something short and sweet for today since I'm spending some quality time with my family this week. More previews coming soon!
Have a great day!
Smiles,
Jennifer
Thanks for all your patience with my scanty posting lately. Hubby is still home from work on vacation, and we've been busy going here, there, and everywhere! I'm actually enjoying him being home, but it leaves me with very little stamping and blogging time. We're also preparing for a family vacation that we'll be going on soon, so that is taking up some of my free time as well.
Today I actually had a bit of time to myself and wanted to share my sunflower basket cards with you. I received several of these stamped images from my friend Nancy--Thanks, Nancy! This sunflower basket stamp is by Impression Obsession and I used Copic Markers to color it.
I originally made the Thanks card first and loved the way it turned out, so that when I needed a birthday card recently I decided to create the same card and change the sentiment.
Here is a picture of both versions.
Here's a close up of the Thanks card. The Thanks sentiment is by Serendipity Stamps.
I dressed up the birthday card a bit by adding my favorite Yellow Stickles to the sunflower petals. It really brightened this card up!
Thanks for patiently waiting for me to post. A DRS Designs new release is just around the corner, so I'll be posting more frequently very soon!
Thanks for stopping by, I greatly appreciate your visit and your comments!
Until next time...
Oh my how time has slipped away from me over the last few days! Sorry about that, but life has been hectic. Hubby has been home for the last week on "vacation" and it has really interrupted my stamping and blogging routine, but I have to admit that I'm enjoying it! :-)
Well...It's a girl!
I created this card for a co-workers baby shower that I attended this past weekend. It was great being able to create such a very girly card rather than a unisex card since they already know what they are having.
I colored this adorable Inkadinkado image with Copic Markers and added Yellow Stickles to the Stars on the blanket. The star pattern paper I used in the background is by K*I Memories from a long time ago. This paper is one of those oldie, but goodie items. I think I got it on clearance and I have a ton of it. So, glad I was able to put it to use and I think it goes perfectly with the stars and moon theme of this baby card! I stamped the words "For Baby" using individual letters from a Technique Tuesday stamp set. I love how this card turned out!
Doesn't that teddy look warm and cozy!?!?! It makes me want to just snuggle right up next to it!
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed it!
Here's another card I created for the Tuesday Morning Sketch Blog's 1st Birthday celebration. I used the TMS Sketch #26 and the theme this week is Christmas! The image was colored with Copic Markers. I masked the image and sponged brown for the flooring and blue in the background. I added Yellow Stickles to the tree topper and the bulbs. The side panels were decorated by stamping it the Interlocking Snowflake Background with white Staz On. A paper poinsettia flower and some red rhinestones finished this card nicely.
Please join us by participating in this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge and use your favorite past sketch to create a Christmas card. For your participation you will be entered to win a gift certificate from DRS Designs. You can find all of the details and link your card up HERE. Hurry, today is the last day to enter the drawing!
Thanks for stopping by!
