Let Us Adore Him

Hi Everyone!
Hope your week is off to a great start!  Saturday was the big release day over at DRS Designs and the DRS DT is now having fun showing off the new Christmas stamps!  I created this card to show off the new Adore Him Greeting (246F)

This greeting would be perfect for many of the religious Christmas images DRS offers, but here I've paired it with the Three Wisemen Ornament (025K). I used Copic Markers to color it.  The white frames around the image and the greeting were created by sponging  yellow ink around the edges while they were still in a Nestie die. The background was stamped with the Silent Night Sheet Music (506P) and the edges were distressed with Vintage Photo ink.  To make each stamped element fit well on the card front, I had to make this card a little bigger than A2 size.  Finished card size is 4.5" x 5.75".

Check out all the new Christmas stamps HERE--It's never too early to start making your holiday cards!

Have a wonderful day!

Let It Snow!

Dare I say it...It's time to start thinking about your Christmas cards this year! Perhaps some new Christmas stamps are what you need to inspire you. The new stamps I showed off in my previous post and the ones seen on the latest DRS Blog Challenge are now available for purchase!!

It was a lot of masking and sponging, but I think it turned out really cute!  It was a lot easier to create than I thought it was going to be too--which is always a good thing!  For the background I stamped the Interlocking Snow Background (015H) with white Staz On ink. Three simple rhinestones decorate the top right of the card front.

Check out all of DRS Designs new Christmas stamps HERE as soon as they become available. Happy shopping and stamping!

May Your Days Be Merry

Hi Everyone!

If you're a regular follower of mine or the DRS Blog then you're familiar with all of the Christmas In July Challenges the DRS DT has been doing. This week's challenge is Christmas in general again, but the DT is showing off the brand new Christmas stamps DRS Designs is releasing this weekend!! I can hardly contain my excitement about them and I'm glad I can finally show off a sneak peek!

I think this Merry and Bright card is my favorite of all of the cards I've made from this batch. Maybe it's the colors or the cute sentiment banner I added (which, I've never made before and love, love, love!) I'm wondering why I didn't try making this kind of banner a long time ago. All of the stamps I used to create this card are new and will be available for purchase this Saturday, July 28th. They include the White Christmas Text (259P) that I used to create the background, the Holiday Hurricane Lamp (253G) and the Merry and Bright Stars Greeting (333E).

The image was colored with Copic Markers and to dress it up a bit I added my favorite yellow Stickles to the flame. Then when it was dry I applied Diamond Glaze over the entire area of the hurricane glass to give it a realistic look.

I hope you like this card as much as I do!

Lemons!

I've had some time off of work over the last few days and it's been great!  I've been spending lots of time with family and my stamps, and even my computer is getting some extra love this week!  It's nice to finally show off many of the cards I've been hiding from you all. Today's card is one of them.

I created this card to show off the new Citrus Border (109G) that was recently released by DRS Designs.  I paired it with the Life Gives You Lemons Greeting (110K) and created my own pattern paper using the Citrus Slice (851D).  The background was heat embossed so it gave this card a bit of texture since I didn't used ribbon (shocking, I know!) or any metal embellishments.

Hope you like it!

King Of The Jungle

Here's a quick and easy CAS card for you today.  The stamps I've used are by DRS Designs and include the King Lion (181G) and the Jungle Out There Greeting (908D).

The King Lion was colored with Copic Markers and then I added Yellow Stickles to his mane.  I think the Stickles make him look really neat! Here's a close up so you can see all the detail.

Have a great day!

I love the soft colors and used them to create this Sympathy card.

Brush Deepest Sympathy (588G)

Christmas With Santa

It's still 'Christmas in July' on the DRS Designs Blog and I've played along in this week's challenge "Christmas With Santa."

What could be more perfect for this challenge than the Santa with Reindeer image (016L)? The best part...I already had it colored (with Copic Markers) in my stash and it was already to go! Gotta love that! The majority of my time making this card was spent created the striped background paper.  I stamped this myself with the Open Plaid stamp (631P) with red ink.  I love how it looks like Candy Cane paper!

Have a wonderful day!

On Your Engagement

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're week is great thus far! Mine will be better in just a few days--have a stay-cation planned for a family wedding and I have a whole week off work! I'm looking forward to the time off and the time with family from out-of-town.

We'll be celebrating another wedding coming next Spring.  My Sister-in-Law got engaged not too long ago and I created this card for her. It is definitely CAS, but I really like it.  It's hard to see the shimmer in the gray cardstock, but it gives this card an elegant feel.  The heart embossing folder gives it the perfect touch too! The 2 stamps I used are by DRS Designs:

I know this is a popular time for Weddings and Anniversaries, so you might be interested in making your own card to wish a special couple well.  Check out all of the Wedding and Anniversary stamps by DRS Designs.  Nothing says "love" like a hand stamped card!

Warm Winter Wishes

How neat do these ice skates (373H) look with their glittery blades? Couldn't help but bling them up a bit when I created this card for DRS Designs Blue Christmas Challenge.

The skates were colored with Copic Markers and after cutting it out with a Nestability die, I sponged blue ink around it. The pattern paper was created using the 4 in 1 Snowflakes  background (096D) and heating it with clear embossing powder to give it the darkened look. A thin white panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and silver ribbon really gave it an elegant look. The Warm Wishes sentiment (611D) was simply stamped in the upper left corner and the card front was adhered to an A2 dark blue cardstock base.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you get a chance to do a little stamping I hope you'll join DRS and play along. All of the challenge details can be found HERE.

Have a great day!

Happy Day!

Hi Everybody!
Hope you're having a great weekend and a wonderful Summer thus far.  I've spent this weekend stamping away! Like I mentioned in a previous post, I'm busy making Christmas cards for DRS Designs.  Many of them you will see soon, but I decided to take a break today and show off a Summery card I made using this cute Watermelon and Friend stamp (798H) and the new Watermelon Border (095H).

Both were colored with Copic Markers and I used a portion of the Popped Up Birthday Greeting (924H) for the sentiment.

This is what the stamp actually looks like.  Since it is mounted only on cling cushion I was able to cut it away from the rest of the stamp and use my stamp positioner to make a one line sentiment from it.  Gotta love unmounted rubber!!!

Stay cool!

Stars and Stripes

I'm looking forward to the 4th of July holiday this week and having an extra day off work! However, with the temperatures being close to 100 lately, I think I just might stay in and stamp! That's a little too much Summer for me!

Summer and 4th of July go hand-in-hand for most of us in the United States, and the timing for the Stars and Stripes challenge on the DRS Blog is perfect! I enjoyed getting this cute Tiny Patriot (801H) inky for the challenge. I used a new star embossing folder on the blue panel and created the red star pattern paper myself using the Starry Background (124H). The Happy Independence Day Greeting (822D) was stamped at the bottom and I used a little bit of twine and a couple red brads for embellishments.  I hope I've inspired you to play along as well.  As always, DRS Designs has a great prize up for grabs!

Hope you enjoy a safe and relaxing 4th of July!
Thanks for stopping by!

Smiles,
Jennifer
